Week 9: Blogs, Vlogs, Podcasts& Webinars
As a wedding and event florist, connecting with clients on a personal level is key. I’ve been thinking about adding a blog, vlog, or podcast to Made For You Flowers to share not just my expertise, but also my passion and personality. Here’s how each format could work:
Blogging: Through a blog, I can share tips on wedding flowers, floral trends, and planning advice, while also including personal stories. For example, instead of just offering tips for fall weddings, I could tell a story about a past bride who honored her grandmother with special blooms, giving the post more emotional impact.
Vlogging: A vlog would let me show the magic of what happens behind the scenes. From sourcing flowers to setting up at a venue, I could give a glimpse into the heart of my work while sharing my thoughts and excitement in real time. This helps clients see the care I put into every wedding.
Podcasting: A podcast would allow me to have deeper conversations, whether I’m discussing the latest trends or interviewing other wedding vendors. Adding personal stories or humor would keep it engaging and show listeners I’m passionate about what I do.
The Power of Personal Touch: Adding a personal touch, through stories, humor, or a specific tone helps posts resonate more with clients. It makes sense to do this when discussing emotional topics, like weddings, because clients want to feel like I care as much about their big day as they do. However, when talking about things like contracts or logistics, a more straightforward tone works best.
Overall, sharing these personal insights can help my floral design business build trust and stronger emotional connections with future clients, much like other businesses in the wedding industry that use storytelling and personal connections to stand out.
I enjoyed reading your blog entry this week! I can totally see how you can work with each category. This would be a great hit especially since florals are especially popular in the wedding industry. I'd love to see a vlog in the future in one of your Instagram posts.
